Our Tigre and Paraná Delta tours are unique.
We find that most travelers miss the striking natural beauty of the Parana Delta, simply because most tours only walk the Tigre riverside promenade or operate by water taxi with no stops to explore the fauna and flora rich delta islands.
Buenos Aires Experience charters a wonderful River Yacht on or around the first day and mid-point of every month (subject to availability) for a day touring Tigre and the amazing Paraná Delta.
Our wonderful 1950’s ship, piloted by an experienced liner Captain, with safety paramount, is seventeen meters long and five meters wide.
We host up to 20 guests for a daytime cruise of Tigre and the Parana Delta or clients wanting privacy for a group or family may ask us for a private charter at their convenience.
Established 1611, the name Tigre derived from the ‘tigres’ or Yaguaretes (South American tiger) hunted to extinction in this region.
Tigre is a wonderfully leafy, waterside, weekend retreat that lies on the Paraná Delta, bordered to the north by an important branch of the Paraná River, the Paraná de las Palmas River, and to the east by the Río de la Plata. The Luján River, flowing southeast into the Río de la Plata divides this region, creating a maze of waterways and islands given over to first-class tourism, waterside living, water sports and agriculture.
These navigable waterways connect to the major rivers of the region making Tigre an attractive centre for exploring, yachting, rowing, and fishing.

We left Buenos Aires yesterday at 0930 for a tour of the salubrious northern suburbs of BA and then went on to Tigre for a walk and coffeee where we boarded the Buenos Aires Experience ship at 11h30, what a day, it was just glorious, these guys really go to town – we ate very well, the best BBQ I have ever eaten and we drank good wine and had just the best time. The Parana delta is the most beautiful place, we went swimming, saw lots of wildlife and cannot recommend this tour enough – you must, must , must do this tour……thanks Seb and Andrew you are quite the double act!!
